It was a big weekend for the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Tigers. In addition to the AUS men鈥檚 basketball championship, the Tigers track and field and men鈥檚 volleyball teams finished off their seasons at their respective CIS championships.

How鈥檇 they do?

Men鈥檚 basketball: At Centre 200 in Sydney on Friday, 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 defeated Acadia in a 76-75 quarterfinal squeaker, with Sandy Viet and Joseph Schow each scoring 12 points for the Tigers. However, team鈥檚 quest for its second-straight AUS championship was halted in the semis with a tough 76-60 loss to the Cape Breton Capers, who would defeat St.FX on Sunday to capture the AUS championship.

Track and field: Twelve Tigers represented 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 at the CIS indoor track and field championships in Windsor, Ontario. Simon Watts, who went into the event as the top ranked high jumper in Canada, left with the gold medal on a jump of 2.07 metres. Runner Celia Peters claimed two medals: silver in the 600-metre race and bronze in the 1000-metre. Collectively, the women鈥檚 team finished 10th, with the men finishing 15th.

Men鈥檚 volleyball: The Tigers had high hopes for this year鈥檚 CIS championships in Kamloops, entering as the third-ranked team. But though their quarter-final against the Calgary Dinos started out strong, with the team taking the first two sets, the Dinos rallied to prevail 3-2. Stand-out effort in the loss came from Tiger Sander Ratsep, with 28 kills in 51 chances. The Tigers then lost their consolation match against the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack in straight sets.

Also this weekend: 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 women鈥檚 basketball player Alex Legge was announced as the 2010 recipient of the James Bayer Memorial Scholarship Award, presented annually to an outstanding AUS student athlete for excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, sportsmanship and citizenship. Ms. Legge, a fourth-year neuroscience student and forward on the team, has been an Academic All-Canadian each of the past three years and was the recipient of last year鈥檚 President鈥檚 Award at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播.
