The Department of Spanish remembers a cherished colleague with the awarding of the James E. Holloway Award. The award will be given annually to a graduating honours student who has done their thesis on a topic in Latin American literature.
鈥淔rom the picket line to the classroom to the boardroom, he was there with his Tilly Endurable hat and colour-coordinated T-shirt,鈥 says Pam Noseworthy, administrative assistant with the Spanish department. 鈥淗e always had a kind word for everyone and endless time for his students.鈥
A Latin American specialist, Dr. Holloway taught for more than 30 years at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播. He served on numerous聽university committees and in various capacities with the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Faculty Association. He died unexpectedly in August 2006.
