Not since Adrienne Power has an athlete been given the top honour of 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 athlete of the year for three consecutive years. Jeff Weiler has now garnered the highly coveted male-athlete-of-the-year award for the third consecutive year, making him only the second athlete to accomplish such a feat.

Mr. Weiler听is a fifth-year kinesiology student and a senior member of the men脮s volleyball team. He has been recognized for his contributions on and off the court, leading the Tigers to a fifth-place Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) finish, and earning such accolades as Academic All-Canadian status three times and CIS Libero of the Year for the fourth consecutive year.

Leanne Huck, a fourth-year multi-sport athlete also studying kinesiology, is the female athlete of the year. Leanne was named the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) league MVP in women脮s soccer, a first team All-Canadian and the AUS track and field champion in the 60, 300 and 4x200m events. Her talents extend off the field 脩 she is a two-time Academic All-Canadian and a Dean脮s list student.听Ms. Huck听gives back to her sport and community, finding time to volunteer with the Special Olympics as a youth track and soccer coach.

Kathleen Spurr, a former member of the women脮s basketball team, is the 2007 recipient of 新加坡六合彩开奖直播脮s A.J. 脪Sandy鈥 Young Award for her contribution to Nova Scotia sports as an athlete and a coach. She has had an impressive career as an athlete, despite not picking up basketball until her senior year of high school.听Ms. Spurr听worked hard and, under the guidance of Coach Carolyn Savoy, went on to earn a spot on Canada脮s National Team only three years after taking up the sport.听Ms. Spurr听still considers听Coach Savoy听a mentor in coaching and life to this day.

Continually giving back to the sport she loves best,听Ms. Spurr听has worked on several organizing committees and continues to develop future athletes as a coach with the Halifax Grammar School. In the past she has coached at the provincial level, administered and coached Canada脮s Basketball Small Ball Program and served as assistant coach with the Tigers in 1992-94. In 2001,听she was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame, recognized for her achievements on the court and in the sport of basketball.听听听听
