Sixty-two students received one of the highest honours for a student athlete last week. The eighth annual聽 Academic All-Canadian Luncheon celebrated their achievements in the presence of peers, professors and parents. The awards recognize academic accomplishments according to standards set by the national university sport authority, Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).

The year 2005-06 was especially outstanding for the top honouree today. Jeff Weiler started the school year being named as one of the Top Eight Academic All-Canadians. Weiler led the men脮s volleyball Tigers to their 20th consecutive AUS championship last season, was the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Male Athlete of the Year, CIS Libero of the Year for the third consecutive season and a CIS second team all-Canadian. Last season Weiler also received the Dale Iwanoczko Award presented to the CIS men脮s volleyball player who best combines community involvement, academics and athletics.
