A group of students will focus on the community on Saturday, Sept. 10 as they collect food donations at the Quinpool Fall Market.
Merchants along the busy commercial street will hold sidewalk sales and demonstrations, and restaurants will hand out food samples. There麓s also a flea market in the parking lot of Ben麓s bakery to help students who need to outfit their apartments.
"This year we are doing things a little bit differently with more focus on the community," says Janet Josselyn, the association麓s general manager.

"We would like to encourage the community to bring non-perishable canned goods, peanut butter, baking powder, baking soda, baby food and pet food," says Rosalie Hanlon, co-ordinator of Meal Exchange-新加坡六合彩开奖直播. The organization is a national student-founded registered charity. Its aim is to help students become the engaged citizens of tomorrow by addressing local hunger.
As part of the fun, Hanlon says the students plan to construct CAN-traptions, statues and structures made of cans and boxes, before they are packed up. The food is going to the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Food Bank and all the proceeds from the flea market go to the bank and to the Quinpool Road anti-graffiti fund.
The Quinpool Fall Market runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 10).
