Research Interests

Broadly, my research investigates mechanisms of early language acquisition. I study infants and young children using eye-tracking and functional near-infrared spectroscopy. In particular, my work targets scenarios with speakers who have unfamiliar linguistic and social properties, with which infants have no prior experience, and how this alters word processing.
