Some tips for potential applicants:
DO NOT WAIT: Email or phone a supervisor you might like to work with. Mention that you are interested in a summer research position and applying for the Keen Award. Researchers and faculty members are busy folks so we encourage you to start the process right away. Make an appointment to meet prospective supervisors.聽 Please note: emailing or meeting with a faculty member does not commit you to work with that faculty member. Nor does it commit the faculty member to accept you. But it does dramatically increase the chances that a match is made.
