Celebrating the 2021 Management staff recognition award recipients

This month, the Faculty of Management celebrated the fourth annual Staff Recognition Awards. The selection committee was comprised of members of the dean’s executive team and some of last year’s award winners. They had the difficult task of selecting just four of the outstanding staff members who provide support and leadership to their colleagues and students and make exceptional contributions to the Faculty.

Impact award for supporting students

Recognizes excellence in service and support to students

Recipient: Jonathan Perry, Career and recruitment specialist, Management Career Services

Jonathan was recognized for his outstanding ability to provide support for students at a cohort and individual level. His nominators described how he consistently improves his own technical skills and leverages them to educate and assist students in their job search and preparation.

Impact award for supporting colleagues

Recognizes excellence in service to faculty and staff colleagues within the Faculty of Management

Recipient: Viola Caume, Administrator and office manager, Rowe School of Business

Viola was recognized for her ability to adapt to changes, remaining nimble and agile in her position while adjusting to an online work environment. Her nominators noted that she has managed to continue to provide excellent support while leading her team with empathy and going over and above what is required.

Exceptional contribution award

Recognizes unique or exceptional contributions to the university and/or community

Recipient: Jillian Pulsifer, Information and operations assistant, Management Career Services

Jillian was recognized for the consistent, prompt and positive way she provides the highest level of service to her colleagues and students. Her nominators noted that even with steadily increasing office activity, she is always happy to take on whatever comes her way and rises to the occasion of any challenge.

Inspiration award

Recognizes leadership attributes

Recipient: Lori Bauld, Alumni officer, Management Dean’s Office

Lori was recognized for her steadfast determination and ability to motivate those around her, constantly going beyond what is expected. Her nominators indicated that she is always respectful, receives input, thinks deeply about it, provides alternatives where needed and comes up with plans that can be executed—and always executes them perfectly.
