Submission of Academic Integrity allegation
- Assemble and scan all documents relevant to the suspected lapse
- Submit the entire package by email to the Academic Integrity Coordinator – Jennifer Ziobrowski (jennifer.ziobrowski@dal.ca)
- Bring hardcopy documents, or a laptop, to the scheduled meeting.
DO:
- Maintain confidentiality
- Inform the student (if you wish) that a possible lapse in academic integrity is being investigated, but refrain from discussing the matter directly
- Be prepared to meet informally with the AIO to discuss the Suspected Lapse of Academic Integrity; should a more formal process be required, you may be called to meet with the AIO, мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Student Advocacy Service and the student. If the penalty is significant, you may have to attend a meeting of the Senate Disciplinary Committee.
PLEASE NOTE: The Registrar's Office will log a grade of PENDING for any student for whom an academic integrity issue remains unresolved at the time the final grades are reported.
DO NOT:
- Log a final grade for the student on the course until you have heard from the Academic Integrity Coordinator that the academic integrity process has concluded. (At that time, provide the Registrar's Office with a revised final grade, using the Grade Change Form.)
- Issue sanctions or penalties directly or independently of the Academic Integrity Officer
- Engage in commentary regarding lapses of Academic Integrity
