LAWS 2198 ‑ Critical Perspectives on Law

CREDIT HOURS: 3

This seminar examines several contemporary critical theories of law in their interdisciplinary settings. Starting with legal realism and its links to critical legal studies, we trace the emergence in legal scholarship of some or all of the following: deconstruction, feminist relationalism, critical race theory, gender studies/queer theory, critical disability theory, and the return to political economy.

ENROLMENT: limited to 16 students.
