brings together leaders in the field of resilience research from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds. With partners across six continents, they employ methodologically diverse approaches to the study of how children, youth, and families cope with many different kinds of adversity. The RRC鈥檚 focus is the study of the social and physical ecologies that make resilience more likely to occur. The research they do is looking beyond individual factors to aspects of a young person鈥檚 family, neighbourhood, wider community, school, culture, and the political and economic forces that exert an influence on a child鈥檚 development in challenging contexts. | |
The Centre for Transformative Nursing and Health Research is the first nursing-led research centre in Atlantic Canada. The Centre鈥檚 research is focused on four key areas: the health needs of people; health workforce and health systems planning; marginalized populations and health equity; and knowledge translation.聽 |
