Health Program Planning
Since completing her PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN, in 2011, Florence has been actively teaching in both the School of Nursing and Faculty of Management at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播. She currently teaches a graduate seminar in Health Program Planning and Evaluation for Master of Nursing students and is the Academic Director for Undergraduate Programs in the Faculty of Management.
Improving health
Florence Tarrant has a long career committed to rural and remote nursing and improving the health status of aboriginal people in Canada. In 1984 at the age of 22 years she completed the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Outpost Nursing Program making her the program鈥檚 youngest graduate. Upon completion of the program Florence continued to work full-time in the Canadian North until 1998.
Varied career opportunities
During that time she worked as a community health nurse, outpost nurse, clinical educator and manager. Florence was the onsite clinical instructor for the Outpost Nursing Program at Baffin Regional Hospital from January 1987 to September 1988.
Entrepreneur nurse manager
In 2000 Florence returned to Halifax, NS where she successfully operated her own nursing management and health care consulting practice specializing in the areas of program development and evaluation, community development and health program delivery and administration. A large portion of her business was conducted with and for First Nations communities, Tribal Councils and Health Authorities as well as various provincial, territorial and federal departments of health.
Founding member
Florence has also been very active in various professional organizations and was a founding member of the Canadian Association of Rural and Remote Nurses and served as President-Elect, President and Past-President from 2004 -2010.
