Kristin R. Good is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 with a cross-appointment to the Law, Justice and Society program. 聽聽
Her research focuses on local (municipal) immigration policymaking - with a current interest in the potential of such processes to contribute to decolonization and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples - as well as critically interrogates municipalities鈥 constitutional significance and status in Canada.聽聽Among her most significant works are two books:聽Municipalities and Multiculturalism:聽聽The Politics of Immigration in Toronto and Vancouver聽(2009), which won the Canadian Political Science Association鈥檚 2010 Donald Smiley Prize for the best English-language book published on Canadian politics in 2009 and has been quoted by the Supreme Court of Canada (in 2021); and her co-edited (with Drs.聽Luc Turgeon and Triadafilos Triadafilopolis)聽Segmented Cities?聽聽How Urban Contexts Shape Ethnic and Nationalist Politics聽(UBC Press, 2014).聽聽Her more recent work has appeared not only in standard academic fora but also as papers in variety of more public-facing venues such as the Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance (Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, University of Toronto) and the Institute for Research on Public Policy (Montreal).聽聽Dr. Good has also written for the聽Toronto Star, Policy Options聽and contributed to SLoGLaw (State and Local Government Law) blog. She is a founding co-editor (with Dr. Martin Horak) of the McGill-Queen鈥檚 Studies in Urban Governance book series.
