School of Planning professor Ren Thomas’ latest book, Planning Canada: A Case Study Approach, was chosen to receive an award of merit as part of the 2017 Awards for Planning Excellence in the category of Planning Publications. Planning Canada, an edited collection of 34 case studies in Canadian planning, featuring the work of academic and practicing planners across the country, was published in 2016 by Oxford University Press. It is designed to introduce new audiences to planning. Thomas was presented with the award at this year’s CIP Building Resilience Conference in Calgary on June 19.
