RAMS Weekend Recap – February 8-9
Woodsmen (February 8 – мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Agricultural Campus)
The DAL AC Men’s and Women’s Woodsmen teams put their undefeated streak on the line at the seasons final event, the 35th Annual Rick Russell Competition.
After a thrilling day of competition, the RAMS put together an impressive list of victories and at the end of the day were named overall competition and CILA champions for the 2019-20 season. On the women’s side Dal AC showed their depth by placing 1st (Women’s 1 Team) and 2nd (Women’s 2 team) at the competition separated only by 10 points (1071 vs 1061) after all events were factored in.

Women’s Volleyball
February 8 – Holland College vs DAL AC
The Holland College Hurricances put out a valiant performance in defeated the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Rams 3 sets to nil on Saturday afternoon (25-21, 25-15, 25-17). The Canes got off to a slow start but gained in confidence thanks to a masterful effort from Samantha Gerbig who was simply too much for the Rams to handle. The Rams fight was led by Savan Heijnen who chipped in with a number of key kills, blocks and serves but ultimately it was not enough.Â
February 9 – DAL AC vs UNBSJ
The RAMS lost to the UNBSJ Seawolves 25-16, 25-18, 25-15.
DAL AC Athletes of the Week
David George (Woodsmen)
David helped lead his team to victory this past weekend by winning the Water Boil competition. To cap off a successful season for Dal AC David also won the CILA MVP award, a prestigious honor given to the leagues highest scoring woodsmen athlete when factoring in the top 3 out of 4 events.
Ella Lentz (Woodsmen)
Ella was instrumental in Dal AC’s women’s team capturing victory at the competition by winning the underhand chop event. She had a fantastic season winning CILA MVP honors and is known as both a fierce competitor and supportive teammate by the rest of her team.
