Please welcome Rick LeBrasseur,Assistant Professor in Landscape Architecture to campus!

Rick LeBrasseur most recently taught and completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK.

At мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥, he will be focusing his research on exploring the role of landscape environmental quality and human health & well-being in the urbanising communities of the Halifax Metropolitan Region.

Utilising an expanded concept of green infrastructure, Rick and his research lab will provide interdisciplinary evidence and input to the design of management of resilient landscapes and Nova Scotia’s green spaces.

Rick will teach his students and research assistants the necessity of critical thinking and evidence-based design in the future design of sustainable landscapes and urban ecologies.

Rick is an avid cyclist, often dreaming of ascending the many cols and alpine passes of the French Alps and Pyrenees.  His goal is to one day own the original 12 Star Wars Figures from 1977.
