What is one piece of advice you would give students from your area of expertise on campus?
One piece of advice is very difficult for me, here goes … Achieve university-life balance, which encompasses so much… University is one of the most exciting times in your life, however it can also be one of the most challenging and scary times too.
For many students, university is the first real taste of independence and with that independence comes many decisions and choices about how to spend your time. Your goal might be to seek a balance that allows you to excel in school while still experiencing all that university life has to offer. If you have difficulty with balance in your life come see us in Health Services, we are here to help you.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to make sure that I stay busy in different ways. I enjoy jogging, gardening, hiking, reading and traveling, I enjoy sailing with my husband on our 27’ sailboat “Forever Young”. I volunteer in my community by sitting on the Colchester Sexual Assault Board and Bridges Board. At the end of a busy day I like to relax with a cup of tea.
