On November 8th, мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥â€™s Faculty of Agriculture was shining in the spotlight of the Royal Winter Fair held in Toronto, Ontario.
For the first time, the Faculty sponsored the Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture, which gives young people ranging in age from 11 to 24 years old the opportunity to test their public speaking skills on topics important to the agriculture industry.
The Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture is a national, bilingual competition that gives young people from all parts of Canada the stage to share their views on topics such as, their Canadian farming success story, their chosen career in agriculture, and the importance of social media in the industry.
Celebrating its 30th year, the Canadian Young Speakers for Agriculture has become the premier agricultural youth speaking forum in Canada.
Austen Brown from the Faculty of Agriculture participated this year. "The speeches where very good, so many different points of views on the same subjects and some very interesting topics in general," he explained.
Congratulations to all who participated. Â
