Posted by Stephanie Rogers on January 15, 2013 in News

Dear Campus Colleagues,

The Conference Board of Canada (CBofC) is heading into the third year of a three-year initiative to produce a Canadian Food Strategy. The Conference Board is planning on releasing the completed Strategy in November 2013. As part of their outreach the CBofC is organizing a series of food strategy consultations across Canada and engaging a broad community of experts and leading stakeholders on food and food-related issues.

We have arranged an on-campus conversation on 28th January, 3:30-4:30, facilitated segment and 4:30-5:30, refreshments and continued dialogue. We are inviting all мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Faculty of Agriculture colleagues to participate. This session will provide some space to share ideas about the strategy and to strengthen it where deemed suitable.

Dean Harold Cook has asked Chibuke Udenigwe and Kathleen Kevany to participate in the consultation in Halifax on 30th January, on behalf of the Faculty of Agriculture. Dean Cook has indicated to the CBofC that there are many with expertise and interest in the topic and could be engaged in different ways and at different stages. Chibuke and Kathleen will incorporate your input into the Faculty contributions at the forum in Halifax and provide feedback to you on the consultations. As well, all those who wish to comment on the strategy directly online, can do so at
