Conor O'Dea is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播. He received his M.Phil , and, more recently, his MA in medical history from Memorial University, where he was named a Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies. His MA thesis explored the relationship between psychiatrists and the pharmaceutical industry. After a decade working as a policy consultant in the public sector, he has returned to academia in order to examine the effects of consumer choice on the drug industry. His doctoral work focuses on modeling the complex, dynamic and nonlinear network of relationships that co-exist among the pharmaceutical industry, prescribers, and the public as consumers of mental health treatments. His areas of specialization include science-based decision making, critical theory, and history of medicine, and his current research interests include pharmacoeconomics, complex adaptive systems, network theory, and agent-based modeling. Conor was recently awarded a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship as well as NSHRF's Scotia Scholarship.聽
