NSERC – Canada France Joint Opportunity on Artificial Intelligence (AAPG 2025)

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on September 23, 2024 in Research Funding

NSERC is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a joint call for Canada-France research proposals on artificial intelligence. This call will be led by the French national Research Agency (ANR), in collaboration with NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, and IVADO. The call will support collaborative multi- and inter-disciplinary research projects in the areas of generative AI and the safety of embedded AI. This call should allow researchers from different scientific fields to access, in addition to their recurrent funding allocations, co-funding on a large numbers of research themes.

While this is a multi-agency effort, NSERC is the designated agency coordinating the Canadian activities related to the call, regardless of the research focus or whether it is in the natural sciences and engineering, social sciences and humanities, or health fields.
