Diverse Supplier Initiative

мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ is taking a big step towards building a more inclusive business landscape by participating in the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council’s (CAMSC) Supplier Diversity Pilot Program in Nova Scotia. This program aligns perfectly with мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥â€™s ongoing mission to champion equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility within the university and the broader community.

Joining CAMSC grants мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ access to a wider range of qualified, diverse-owned businesses. This not only expands their sourcing options but also contributes directly to the economic empowerment of underrepresented groups within the province. By fostering a more diverse supplier network, мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ strengthens business relationships and contributes to a more equitable and prosperous Mi’kma’ki (the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq). This initiative reflects a growing trend in institutional procurement, with many organizations recognizing the value of supplier diversity and actively seeking to expand their networks.
