Mental Health Lab: Drop-in Support for Sexton Students

Please feel free to join us for weekly one hour gatherings for snacks, short presentations, Q&A, discussion and information sharing about mental health related topics. We aim to create an interesting and safe place for people to inquire about maintaining psychological well-being and finding additional support.

Topics may include:

  • How do I know if I need to see a mental health professional?
  • What should I expect from counselling therapy?
  • What are mental health disorders and how do they impact physical health?
  • How to better understand and manage anxiety and depression.
  • What is PTSD anyway? Am I traumatized?
  • Help!Ìý I am a procrastinator.
  • Why can’t I stay motivated?Ìý
  • How bad is social media for my health anyway?
  • What’s a better way to deal with conflict - instead of avoiding it or making it worse?
