Dal鈥檚 2024 campaign kicks off on Nov. 25 and runs through to Dec. 3, the International Day for Persons with Disabilities.

Monday, November 25

11:30 a.m. in LeMarchant Place atrium

Show your support for accessibility at Dal, hear updates about progress on accessibility planning at Dal, and find out more about the many learning opportunities during this year's campaign.听

3:30 - 4:30 p.m., online

The Student Accessibility Centre and Career Services invites students to 鈥淎ble After Dal 101: Introducing Job & Career Supports for Student with Disabilities,鈥 taking place virtually.

Tuesday, November 26

2:00-2:50 p.m. (followed by formal group meeting from 3-4 p.m.)

Have you heard about The 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 (dis)Ability Caucus for Faculty and Staff and have been curious to learn more about who we are and what we do? Did you first hear about the Caucus when you read the previous question?

The Caucus warmly invites you to an open house, meet-and-greet, on November 26th, from 2:00 to 2:50 p.m. in the Mona Campbell Building, Room 3111. Come and meet some of our current members, ask all the questions you may have, have a few light refreshments and laughs and if you like, join the first monthly meeting of this academic year immediately following, from 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Our membership has been comprised of folks with, for example, physical, sensory, developmental, and/or psychological (dis)abilities or conditions, as well as folks with chronic, episodic, acquired, and/or temporary (dis)abilities or conditions. We define (dis)ability broadly and inclusively鈥攎embers join based on how they self-identify, and the barriers they encounter because of a (dis)ability.

Come join us to celebrate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) implementation across Dal. This online event allows us to applaud the work instructors, staff, and faculty have done to make their course designs and teaching more inclusive, accessible, flexible, and empowering for students.听

This engaging and thought-provoking session from the Rick Hansen Foundation can help anyone flex their accessibility muscle and apply accessibility principles to make places and spaces functional to everyone.听

Able After Dal invites students to attend an information session with Laura Blaquiere, Human Resources Advisor with the Public Service Commission of Canada as part of Accessibility Week at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播.听

Join us in a workshop with a guest speaker from the Canadian Institute for the Blind, who will share their first-hand experiences in a world of inaccessible documents.听

Join us to learn what practices to incorporate that will assist you in continuing achieving your equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility goals.听

In this session, participants will learn about the accommodation policy for students and employees.听

This discussion panel, hosted by the School of Social Work in recognition of Dal Accessibility Week, covers issues related to accessibility and universal design.听
